Decking
Solid vs hollow composite decking — which is right for you?
Solid boards are heavier, more rigid, and cost more. Hollow boards have a scalloped core, run cooler underfoot, and sit on closer joist centres. For most residential decks, hollow is the practical pick. For commercial-grade installs with point loads, go solid.
