How much does composite decking cost in Australia?
Ezy Decking boards run from about $49 for a 4m Premium Semi-Solid WPC board up to $175 for a 5.4m Origin board (4m Origin from $129), all GST-inclusive. PVC/ASA boards are $129 or $109 depending on colour. What a deck costs depends on a few factors, but boards range from about $75/m² to $240/m². Framing can make a big difference to the overall cost. We have budget options like treated timber and composite battens, and if you want the best of the best, our aluminium framing is sold at wholesale price to the public. What is the difference between solid and semi-solid composite boards?
Solid boards are heavier and span further between joists. Semi-solid boards are lighter, cheaper per metre and tend to stay a little cooler in the sun because there is less mass to hold heat.
Do I have to frame a composite deck in timber?
No. Our patent-pending aluminium framing kit replaces timber joists and bearers. It won't rot, twist or burn, and it carries a 20-year domestic warranty. Timber framing is still available if you prefer it, and we have composite battens as a low-cost, low-to-ground option over concrete or tiles.
How long is the warranty on Ezy Decking products?
These are domestic warranty periods. Origin, PVC/ASA and Premium Solid decking and our exterior cladding carry a 10-year warranty, extended to 20 years when you register with clear photos of the completed framing (timber, steel or aluminium) and installed boards within 90 days of purchase. Premium Semi-Solid decking is 10 years, extended to 15 when you register. The aluminium framing kit is 20 years, hybrid flooring is 25 years, artificial turf is 7 years, and interior and UV-PVC ceiling cladding are 2 years. Commercial installs carry 10 years on the decking, exterior cladding and hybrid flooring ranges.
Where does Ezy Decking deliver, and how long does it take?
We deliver across South East QLD and northern NSW from the Gold Coast, across NSW, Sydney, the ACT and VIC from Sydney, and across SA from Adelaide. Lead times run from same-day pickup at Carrara (Gold Coast), Lakemba (Sydney) or Adelaide to generally within a week for the furthest zones. Moorooka is a drive-in display only. Can I see and touch the boards before I buy?
Yes, two ways. Order free samples and pay postage only, or collect them free from a branch. Or visit a display: we have full branches and showrooms at Carrara on the Gold Coast, Lakemba in Sydney and Salisbury Plain in Adelaide, plus a drive-in display open 24/7 at Moorooka in Brisbane.
Does composite decking get too hot to walk on?
Any decking in full Australian sun gets hot, composite included. Lighter colours run much cooler than dark ones, and semi-solid boards run cooler than solid because there is less mass storing heat. Our Origin range uses a PVC core that holds less heat than standard wood-plastic composite, and it is BAL-29 fire-rated for bushfire-prone areas.
Do licensed builders, carpenters and landscapers get trade pricing?
Yes. Apply for a trade account with your licence number, business name and ABN. Once approved, your wholesale pricing appears automatically when you log in. Applications are reviewed by a person, so approval isn't instant.
