# Decking Pedestal with 60mm joist cradle 45mm-68mm
Adjustable decking pedestal with a 45–68mm height range, designed for building level, well-drained decks over concrete, pavers, waterproof membranes and uneven ground. A good fit for low-clearance projects where you need to lift the deck just enough to clear the surface, drain properly and meet door thresholds or existing paving. Key features Height range: 45mm to 68mm, fully adjustable Screw-thread adjustment: fine-tune levels after the joists are laid, no shims or packers Wide base: spreads the load and protects waterproof membranes Built-in drainage: keeps water moving away from the substructure UV-stabilised polypropylene: won't rot, rust or degrade in the Australian sun Compatible with our composite joists and standard timber or aluminium bearers Why use pedestals? Pedestals lift your deck off the surface so air and water can move freely underneath. This means a longer-lasting substructure, easy access to services below the deck, and a perfectly level finish even when the ground isn't. Suitable for Balconies and terraces with limited clearance Decking over existing concrete or pavers Courtyards and poolside areas Areas with a slight fall that need levelling Spacing guide Pedestal spacing is determined by the framing you're using. Follow the span and support spacing recommended for your joist or bearer system, and place a pedestal at each support point. Our team can work out exact quantities for your project with a free quote. Need a different height? This pedestal covers 45–68mm. We also stock higher ranges, so get in touch if your project needs more lift.
